Labels can be confusing.....Free Range, Pasture raised, Certified organic, Organically raised, All natural, antibiotic free.... there's any number of distinctions that can be applied to our food these days, and it can be confusing. We want you to understand exactly how we raise our chicken.

1 Farm Poultry LLC is Certified Organic by CCOF. Our farm, facility, and process not only follows but exceeds the regulations for raising Organic chicken. Our chickens are fed a vegetarian and certified organic food. They are raised in a small batch and given lots of extra space. Once they have feathered, they can go inside or outside AT WILL during the day.  We DID NOT and WILL NOT use any hormones, steroids, or antibiotics, EVER.

So that begs the question, if the live birds are certified organic, why is the retail product not? The answer to that question is the processor we use must also be Certified Organic for the retail product to be. We currently do not have access to one that is already certified. But we are hopeful that we will be able to offer fully certified organic retail chicken products in the near future. We will keep you updated on this progress.
